Planning permission was granted for three traditional style new-build dwellings to replace disused stables adjacent to this Grade 2 listed building.
Meda was subsequently commissioned to develop the approved scheme in sufficient detail for tender. The very specific nature of the planning required careful co-ordination of the substructure (to mitigate flood risk), M&E installations and component details (doors, windows and rooflights) in order to secure the successful discharge of planning conditions.
The resultant comprehensive and carefully detailed information package made it possible for the client to interrogate tender returns thoroughly.
As a result, it was possible to identify areas for potential cost savings while maintaining a high-quality level of finish.
